And here’s where Jonathan and I shutter shop at Heavy Medal. You’ll find Jonathan over at Battle of the Kids Books shortly, and I’m sure you’ll hear from us online elsewhere. I’ll be speaking at TLA (a Thursday program titled “Join the Online Conversation: Collection Development 3.0”), and you might find us in the crowd at ALA Annual in New Orleans. We’ll be back here next September for another round.
Remember to also check out Cybils on Valentines Day for some last hurrahs for 2010 titles… And please continue to leave comments here throughout the year if you come across a 2011 book that you think we should look at.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing you at TLA! Thanks for another great year of Heavy Medal.
Thank you Nina and Jonathon for a great year of discussions, and for your patience and kindness to posters. Can’t wait for next year’s discussions!
Thank you both, Nina and Jonathan. I learn an incredible amount by reading Heavy Medal. I know this takes a lot of time on both of your parts, and I am grateful! Have a wonderful rest of your year before you start up again in the Fall (I hope!).
Thanks, you two! And for those who can’t get enough of this sort of thing, keep an eye out on the Battle of the Kids’ Books blog (http://sljbattleofthebooks.com) as we will be revving up the next few weeks (and you can count on Jonathan to stir things up, of course:).
Many thanks to both of you for this wonderful blog. This is the first year I’ve followed it regularly and I really feel I learned a huge amount and was able to think more critically about the books I read and put them in the context of the Newbery criteria. Looking forward to Battle of the Kid’s Books!
Thank you again for your time and effort! It is much appreciated. I’ll miss your posts, and look forward to next fall.
Thank you to both of you for the excellent information – as well as entertainment! – you provided on this blog. Nina, I was so pleased to meet you at ALA last June, and hope maybe I’ll see you again this year.
