90-Second Newbery
The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival returns to NYC on December 2 at 4 pm. Check out the details.
Kids who love videos as much as they love books will want to check out this event, hosted by the festival’s hilarious co-creators James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and Jon Scieszka (The Stinky Cheese Man) with special guest appearances by Kate DiCamillo, author of the Newbery award-winner The Tale of Despereaux and Rita Williams-Garcia, author of the Newbery honor book One Crazy Summer. The finalists from a national contest of kid-created videos based on award-winning books will premiere their works at Symphony Space.
I know most of us don’t live in the greater New York area, but you don’t have to attend in order to submit a video, and it looks like a great project for children.
