Under Wraps

February 1, 2015 by Nina Lindsay   3 comments

I am sitting on the shuttle bus to the convention center in a snowstorm, and on this bus are THE results of the Newbery! Committee Chair Randall Enos is on his way to deliver the results to the ALA Press Office, two seats behind me. Shortly, a few select people beyond the committee will know, and tomorrow, everyone. Congratulations, committee members, for your excellent decisions, whatever they are. Savor the secret and rest up.

Hope that bus doesn’t get stuck in the snow! Yes, hooray for the committee members and all the hard-working, big-hearted librarians.

Safely delivered. We’re actually wondering now if any of us will be able to get here tomorrow morning for the press conference! We might all be watching online.

Glad to know the buses are running. Was thinking as I watched the forecast that everyone would have to get sleeping bags and spend the night at the convention center:) (Of course, I’m trying to make myself feel better for not being there this year:)
