The Latest Heavy Medal Mock Newbery List: Total suggestions through July
In just over six months, the winner of the 2022 Newbery Medal will be announced. Here on Heavy Medal, we continue to build our list of possible contenders from the first half of the year. July nominations included added support for early leaders, including STARFISH and RED, WHITE AND WHOLE. Six new titles are now up for consideration (these are printed in red in below).
Reading and suggestions will continue through the summer, then we’ll begin discussing many of the titles in early September. The full list of suggestions to date is below:
