Our list of 15 Mock Newbery finalists is complete, but that doesn't mean the eventual winning title is on it. Readers are invited to look beyond that list of 15 and name one book that has a real chance to become the 2022 Newbery Medal winner.

Poetry collections don't appear often on the list of Newbery winners, but this could be the year. Two top contenders include a tribute to Harlem Rennaissance poets and a poetry/prose mixture devoted to spiders.
