We're 10 months away from the 2024 Newbery Medal announcement, but it's never too soon to start reading. If you've read any early 2023 publications that might have a chance at the Medal, add your suggestions to our monthly list between now and March 13th.
With the announcement of FREEWATER as the 2023 Newbery Medal winner, our Mock Newbery season is complete. Help us plan next year with our Readers' Feedback Poll and take a look at our early list of possible contenders for the 2024 Newbery Award.
About 300 people attended the webcast where the 16 Heavy Medal Award Committee members discussed the final five titles and voted on a Mock Newbery winner.
