It’s Time for June Suggestions

As summer approaches in this most unusual of years, it’s time to put forward more Suggestions for our Mock awards process here on Heavy Medal. We have over 40 suggestions already (the list is here), and the excellent books just keep on coming. I’ve had to do a lot of my reading with audio books because of library closures, and while it’s a format I enjoy, I prefer to do Newbery reading from print books, just for consistency. Later in the year I’ll need to be sure to re-read THE ONE AND ONLY BOB without hearing Danny DeVito’s just-right narration in my head.

Please add your Suggestions in the comments below. Remember that only books that have been already are eligible, and we limit suggestions to five per month. More details about suggestions can be found in our March post. Add yours to the list by Sunday, June 7th and we’ll post the cumulative totals shortly after that…
