Meet the 16 members of the 2024 Heavy Medal Award Committee. These book-loving volunteers will read and discuss all 16 titles on our Heavy Medal Book List, then choose our Mock Newbery winner in our live Zoom event on January 19th.
We now have a Heavy Medal Book List with 16 titles that will be discussed depth by the heavy Medal committee and then narrowed down to four for our final discussions.
About 300 people attended the webcast where the 16 Heavy Medal Award Committee members discussed the final five titles and voted on a Mock Newbery winner.
The Heavy Medal Mock Newbery Reader's Poll is now open! Choose your top 3 titles from the 16 books on our Heavy Medal Book List. Submit your picks by January 27th at noon EST; results will be annouced on January 28th.
